Empower Local Sustainable Supply Chains

Lever Foundation is a Lancaster-based nonprofit with a global track record: since 2018 it has helped over 250 food companies, including companies based and operating in Lancaster as well as companies across the country and around the globe, to set and implement more sustainable food sourcing policies.

The Foundation provides free consulting-style support to food companies to help them understand how peers have cut emissions, lowered food waste, and improved responsible procurement in their ingredient and product supply chain, and help them do the same. Over the past year, the Foundation's work has removed over 300 million pounds of CO2-equivalent greenhouse gas emissions, saved 5 million pounds of food waste, and improved the treatment of millions of animals through these policy improvements.
