Tammie's Hope Begins with Housing Fundraising

I support HDC MidAtlantic—both as a team member and a donor—because I have seen firsthand the life-changing impact a stable, affordable home can have on seniors, families, and children. A home is more than a roof and four walls. It is the foundation for stability, dignity, and opportunity.

When a household has a safe, affordable place to live, everything else becomes possible. Children can focus on school. Seniors can care for their health. Working adults can maintain steady employment. Without housing, every other part of life becomes harder. With housing, the path forward becomes clearer.

Affordable housing is the catalyst for all other social determinants of health. It strengthens communities, builds resilience, and opens the door to a more equitable future. That’s why I’m passionate about HDC’s mission and the work we do every day to bring more affordable housing options to the communities we serve.
