Every day, thousands of families across Lancaster County struggle to find housing they can afford. Behind each number is a story: a single mother working two jobs, a senior who longs for stability, a veteran who has served our country but now needs a home to come back to.

At HDC MidAtlantic, we believe no one should face this challenge alone. That’s why, for more than 50 years, we have created communities where residents not only find a place to live but also the support to thrive.

In 2024, more than 4,800 residents found safety and stability in our 67 communities. Families stayed rooted, seniors aged in place, and neighbors facing hardship found hope – which was made possible through generous donations made from community members.

When you give, you do more than provide housing — you invest in hope. Every gift to HDC MidAtlantic helps families, seniors, and individuals not only find affordable housing but also access the resources and opportunities to thrive. Here’s what your generosity makes possible:

$10 → Provides a resident with nutritious meals or connects them to vital programs like food assistance, rent rebates, or utility support.

$25 → Supports advocacy training that empowers residents to share their stories and take a stand on issues that impact their lives.

$50 → Helps a household secure rental, utility, or childcare assistance, easing financial burdens and creating stability.

$100 → Provides the supplies and materials needed to host an HDC community gathering, fostering connection, support, and information-sharing among residents.

$250 → Sponsors a resident’s participation in the Resident Academy of Leadership and Inspiration (RALI), equipping them with leadership, community-building, and project planning skills.

$500 → Prevents eviction and keeps a family safely housed during a time of crisis.

$1,000 → Sponsors a full food distribution event, providing dozens of households with healthy, affordable food.
