Protecting our Volunteers is what we need to do. The Protective fire turn out gear that each fire fighter needs (Helmet, Hood, Coat, Gloves, Pants and, boots) costs about $5000.00. Our Fire turn out gear have to be replaced every 10 years. We are continually replacing expired gear to existing volunteers and, Providing new gear to new volunteers.
The Self contained Air packs are priced roughly around $6000.00. The Air packs life is about 15 to 20 years. Our Current air packs are reaching their expiration date.
A portable Radios they need cost $3000.00. The Radios may need replaced if they are not able to have software updated.
All items are paid out of our annual budget that is from the support of our community. Unfortunately, the costs are going up faster that our Fund drive events can keep up with.
This Fund raiser's goal of $ 10,000 would allow us to out fit 2 fire fighters with Fire turn out gear. Please anything helps.
