I’ve had the joy of serving alongside the Lancaster Downtowners as their executive director for nearly eight years. During that time our village has provided over 40,000 miles of transportation, hosted over 1600 programs & events, and cultivated countless community connections. To be surrounded by hundreds of people who are defining aging on their own terms while simultaneously holding one another is a gift with unending returns. 

I hope every person reading this has the opportunity to experience community in this way.

 While I am ending my time on staff with Downtowners (today!), my commitment to the village’s vision of a vibrant, interdependent, intergenerational Lancaster is unwavering. I’m inviting my friends, family, and neighbors to join in the joy and support the seniors who support our city with a donation in any amount.
