The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Board is a volunteer-led initiative that helps J.P. McCaskey High School students access higher education. Every dollar raised goes directly to scholarships that honor Dr. King’s legacy of justice, leadership, and service.

Our focus is on equity and opportunity — ensuring students from all backgrounds can pursue their college goals. Each year, we award scholarships to graduating seniors who demonstrate perseverance, community involvement, and a commitment to making a difference.

This past year, we were proud to increase the number of students we supported and the total amount awarded. Our board continues to review each application with care, recognizing that excellence looks different for everyone.

Through community generosity and volunteer dedication, we’re helping local students take the next step toward their dreams while carrying Dr. King’s vision of equality into the future.
