Janus ExtraGive

Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to check out my fundraising page! 

I started at The Janus School this past summer, and I have just fallen in love with the culture and community of this school. The motto here is "Not All Great Minds Think Alike". How true is that statement? Every individual has their own strengths and needs, and it is our job as educators to help students reach their greatest potential in the way that they learn best. It sounds so simple, yet it is something that is so lacking in today's classrooms. I love the challenge and the reward of unlocking the keys that help each student grow, and getting to see the pride in the student's eyes when they accomplish a goal. Coming to this school has been an amazing growing and learning opportunity for me as an educator. It has also been an amazing growing and learning opportunity for my daughter, who also started here at Janus this year. As a parent, I have been so blessed to see the staff really get to know and love Kara in the short time since she has been here. Kara has been pushed and challenged to learn at her level, and supported as she experienced setbacks. The staff are continually communicating and collaborating to ensure that Kara is getting what she needs. Even though it has been a big change for her, she is happy and excited to come to school everyday. There is always something for her to look forward to.  

This Friday is ExtraGive, a large annual online giving event in Lancaster County, PA, that takes place on a specific day each year to support local non-profits. This Friday please consider giving to The Janus School. The funds will go to support their Annual Fund. The Annual Fund helps support numerous school needs including (but not limited to) maintenance, transportation, financial aid, technology, classroom resources, etc. Any donation helps. Please consider helping me reach my goal of 5 or more donors this Friday!
