Ashleigh's Fundraiser for YMCA of the Roses

My name is Ashleigh, and I recently started at YMCA of the Roses as their Development Coordinator. I am ecstatic with this opportunity to serve the community I grew up in, Lancaster, and the community I currently reside in, York. I hope you will consider a gift to help YMCA of the Roses continue our mission to serve our community and neighbors to create a healthier, safer, and better place to live. 

As many of you know, I have had a difficult past few months and needed a fresh start. YMCA was the perfect new page and I was excited for the much needed restart, but also full of nerves. Was this job going to be just like my last one? Would I be respected and treated as an equal with dignity and empathy? With barely a month under my belt here at the Y, I can confidently say I don't fear these questions anymore. The team welcomed me with open arms, and even the YMCA members have created a kind and welcoming atmosphere. From things as small as holding the door for me as I moved into my new office to welcoming not only me, but my family into the organization, I have found the workplace I have been searching for! My nephews are also fans of the new job; they haven't stopped asking when it's time for the Splish, Splash, Easter Egg Bash!
