Schreiber Speech Therapy Department

Being able to tell someone what you need, share an idea or join a conversation helps you feel connected to the people around you.

Our Speech Therapy team helps Schreiber kiddos build those connections in ways that work for them. For one child, that might mean practicing speech sounds. For another, it might mean learning to use a communication device to tell us exactly what they’re thinking.

We follow each child’s interests and make room for practice through play. Making something with Play-Doh can become a chance to practice sounds and talk about what’s happening. A favorite game can give a kiddo a reason to ask for a turn or share an excited reaction.

We get to see how much it means when a child can express something they’ve been wanting to say. This ExtraGive, we’re inviting you to help make more of those moments possible.

Last year, you gave $905 through our department’s fundraiser. This year, our goal is $1,100 toward Schreiber’s $130,000 ExtraGive goal, helping more kiddos get the support they need to communicate and connect.
