Lizzy's ExtraGive Fundraiser

I have the incredible opportunity to call Lone Oak my home during my year-long Master’s program. Though I have only been here for about three months, I have loved every moment. This internship has taught me so much about what a strong, caring community looks like. Everyone contributes their time willingly and with heart, creating an environment full of support and collaboration.

Coming into this internship with no prior horse experience, I have received guidance and encouragement every step of the way. Witnessing the connections between humans and horses has been truly inspiring. I have built meaningful relationships with the horses and developed a deep appreciation and love for each of them.

Personally, my time at Lone Oak has allowed me to gain confidence and overcome significant anxiety challenges. I have been able to show up as myself every day and feel valued just for being me. I am honored to have the opportunity to fundraise for this amazing and wholesome organization.
