Lancaster County Chooses Love was born from a simple but radical belief.  When hate tries to divide, we answer with care, compassion, and visibility. We Choose Love!

We believe that community care is love in action. Every day, we see how much difference it makes when people are welcomed, affirmed, and supported for who they are.

Our Resource Center is the heart of that work. It’s home to our no-barrier Food Pantry (open to all), our Gender-Affirming Clothing Closet, and our LGBTQ+ and Social Justice Lending Library. We host events, programs, groups, and activities throughout Lancaster County that help people connect, heal, and celebrate together. We offer LGBTQ+ and DEI training to schools, organizations, and congregations. And we connect queer community members with the resources, referrals, and advocacy they need to thrive.

Choosing love means more than offering kindness. It means refusing to let hate define who we are. It means showing up for one another; feeding, clothing, and standing beside people in need. It means creating LGBTQ+ spaces and community that allows us to be ourselves without fear. Choosing love is both protest and care: it’s creating a community where affirmation drowns out exclusion and where being queer is not just accepted, but celebrated.
