Why are we fundraising for New School Montessori?

New School Montessori has been part of our lives for a little bit over  seven years, and as both a parent and an employee, I’ve seen just how transformative a true Montessori education can be. 

This community has helped shape our children, Zoe (9) and Zaahir (6), into the kind, confident, and independent people they are becoming.

Montessori has supported them by fostering independence, confidence, and self-reliance. It encourages  children to be respectful, empathetic, and self-directed learners—skills that prepare them not just for school, but for life. 

As parents, we deeply value the way NSM partners with us, by honoring Zoe, Zaahir and each child’s unique needs while nurturing their curiosity and sense of belonging.

What makes this school special can’t always be put into words—you feel it when you walk into the classroom, when you see children working joyfully, when you witness the quiet confidence and care they show one another. 

NSM isn’t just a school—it’s a community built on connection. Families come and go, yet the relationships, shared values, and sense of belonging remain. There is something special here, something you can’t quite describe. There is a magic here that you truly have to experience.
