I have lost track of how many years I have been part of the YMCA Turkey Trot, but it is well over 10 at this point. The picture with the pumpkin pie hat was taken during the virtual Turkey Trot in 2020, when even a pandemic could not stop the tradition.
Most people think of the Y as a gym, but it is so much more. Every day, I see the impact it has across our community through programs that support health, connection, and belonging.
For me, the Turkey Trot is about staying active, having fun, and being part of something bigger. It is a small example of the many things that the Y is doing everyday and a time to see our community come together.
