Since Moravian Manor Communities opened in 1975, we have dedicated ourselves to the care of seniors, providing a wide range of health care services and living options that support and enrich the journey of aging.

Medicaid, SSI and other government reimbursements rarely cover the true cost of providing care. Last year, Moravian Manor Communities provided over $3 million in benevolent care to almost 50 residents, in all levels of care, throughout our community. Donations to the Benevolent Care Fund - including all ExtraGive donations - enable us to continue our mission by providing the same high-quality care to residents who have outlived their resources, through no fault of their own.

The Benevolent Care Fund is an assurance that each day, seniors who need our help will continue to receive the exceptional care they deserve in a community they love and call home. For family members, this promise of security is a great comfort and provides peace of mind.

Who We Are

Since opening in 1975, Moravian Manor Communities (MMC) has been dedicated to the care of seniors providing a wide range of health care services and living options that support and enrich the journey of aging.

When seniors become residents of Moravian Manor Communities, they are made a very special promise – they will never be asked to leave for financial reasons. On an average day there are over 50 seniors - in all levels of care – whose resources will fall short of the cost of the services they receive.

The average daily shortfall for a resident who has run out of funds is $240. MMC provided services totaling more than $4.1 million in benevolent care last year, and was partially funded through our Benevolent Care Fund. Our goal to increase the Benevolent Care Fund is a constant priority, especially as we continue to assist more individuals, and healthcare costs continue to increase.
