Lancaster Pride

Our Roots

Lancaster Pride traces its roots back to 2008 when a group of LGBTQ organizers came together to plan Lancaster's first Pride Festival at Buchanan Park. Since then, we have grown from our humble beginnings at Buchanan Park to one of Central Pennsylvania’s premier Pride celebrations, reaching over 8,000 people during this year's Pride Festival.

Your Impact

Your support during the ExtraOrdinary Give will bring us closer to our goal of making the 2025 Pride Festival free for all. In past years, we've had to charge $5 a ticket to ensure we can cover the event's expenses. Thanks to the generosity of our community, friends, and you, we only need to raise another $30,000 to make admission to the Pride Festival free for all.

Why It Matters

When you're a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, you often experience discrimination or marginalization every day. But when you walk into the Lancaster Pride Festival, you are seen and heard, sometimes for the first time in your life. We and the entire LGBTQIA+ community need gifts from people like you so we can give everyone a sense of belonging and acceptance while forging relationships with new allies, deepening others' understanding of our community's struggles and joys, not just through the festival, but through the impactful connections to Lancaster Pride's other powerful programs that continue all year long.
