Gretna Music

Gretna Music presents exceptional musicians primarily in the chamber, jazz, and world music genres in performances that inspire and engage diverse audiences and create community in central PA.  We believe that by offering the timeless beauty of chamber music, the expressive energy of jazz, and the cultural influence of world music, we can uplift, inspire, and unite our communities in a meaningful way.

Before our concerts, local talented youth perform in our First Listen program, giving them an opportunity to play mini-concerts before an enthusiastic crowd and meet professional musicians backstage.  2023/2024 First Listener Luca Savarino of the Luca Savarino Quartet:  "What a fun night of music!  It was a valuable experience for the whole band to get to be so close to some legendary performing musicians and talk with them personally."

Gretna Music for Kids (GM4K) is family programming with a focus on children interacting with the musicians and the music.  And with support from you and foundations, all our GM4K events are free and all are invited to attend.

Who We Are

Gretna Music enriches lives by bringing excellent musicians to perform great enduring music to central Pennsylvania. Most concerts take place May-September in Mt. Gretna.

Musicians are accessible to audience members to socialize with after most of our concerts. Let's go vaccine!

Before our concerts, local talented youth perform in our First Listen program. Photo above is Gabe Locati, a music student at Temple University whose main instrument is mandolin. Gabe wowed the audience with his zoom performance for us this past summer (can watch on our youtube channel).

We also offer Gretna Music for Kids - family programs of fantastic live cultural performances.
