First Reformed Church is a host for the Lancaster County Meal Program, a loose network of churches and organizations that provide free meals to community members who are confronting food insecurity. Partnering with other “Meals for the City” churches, we help individuals and their children enjoy free meals, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Hundreds of volunteers help to plan, prepare, and serve over 16,000 free meals here on our downtown campus each year.
Our volunteers help stretch each dollar given. By purchasing wisely and using an all-volunteer workforce, the cost for each nutritious meal is usually less than $1.25. For just $25 you can help us provide 20 meals for those in need. $100 will feed 80 hungry people.
