For more than 25 years, EACTC has worked alongside local schools, families, businesses, community organizations, and caring residents to strengthen the Elizabethtown community and prevent problems before they begin. We use local data to understand the challenges facing our youth and develop programs and strategies that address the factors that can put young people at greater risk. These factors matter because they are associated with an increased likelihood of substance use and other risky behaviors. But risk is not destiny. When young people have strong relationships, meaningful opportunities, clear expectations, positive recognition, and supportive communities, we can help change their trajectory.

That is where EACTC comes in.

Our prevention programs reach youth and families directly by building skills, strengthening relationships, creating positive connections, recognizing young people for their accomplishments, and giving youth opportunities to belong and contribute to their community. Through school- and community-based programs, mentoring, youth leadership, prevention education, family resources, and recognition initiatives, EACTC works to give young people the protective factors they need to make healthy choices and lead purposeful lives.
