Why Kids Need Something Extra Now More Than Ever

For more than 85 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster has stepped into the gap for kids who need somewhere safe to go when the school day ends. What began in 1939 as a single gathering place has grown into four Clubhouses and our 100-acre Camp Hogan, all built around one belief: every child deserves a place where they feel safe, and supported, and encouraged.

Every afternoon, kids walk through our doors and find something extra. Extra safety. Extra care. Extra patience. Extra encouragement. Extra belonging. These simple moments are the foundation that helps kids feel steady and seen.

And once they have that extra bit of stability, everything else becomes possible.
