Anchor Lancaster

At Anchor Lancaster, we open our doors every weekday morning to serve neighbors experiencing homelessness or hardship with dignity, compassion, and hope. Voted Lancaster County’s #1 Nonprofit FIVE years in a row, we are more than a program — we are a community.

Guests find more than a hot breakfast. They find showers, laundry, and case management that connects them to housing, healthcare, benefits, documentation, and a path forward. At our Day Center on East King Street, open 10 AM–4 PM, neighbors can rest, access resources, and find a safe, welcoming place of belonging.

Each week, volunteer teams prepare meals for 140–160 people every day — more than 35,000 meals last year. Medical professionals provide on-site care. Case managers walk alongside guests through eviction prevention, resume building, and assistance applications. Every step is offered with the belief that each person is seen, valued, and loved.

Who We Are

Anchor Lancaster is a place of steady love in the heart of our city. Each weekday morning, our doors open to neighbors who are hungry, unsheltered, or struggling — and they are met not only with food and showers, but with dignity, belonging, and hope.

We believe every person is worthy of being seen and cared for. That’s why our case management team walks alongside guests through housing support, documentation needs, benefits applications, and more — because real change happens when people know they are not alone.

Anchor is more than a nonprofit. We are a community of volunteers, staff, and supporters living out God’s call to love our neighbors in practical ways.
