Conflict has a real impact on us all! Our families, our communities, our places of work, and beyond

What if you could control conflict instead of conflict controlling you?

More than 1,200 people came to Advoz last year in the midst of conflict, many having experienced traumatic violations and crime. But more than 80% of the people sitting down at an Advoz table leave satisfied, relieved, and changed.

An additional 900 people received training, increasing their ability to respond in an effective and proactive manner.

Advoz's mission is to provide conflict mediation, restorative practices, and education to transform personal and structural conflicts into constructive actions and resilient relationships.

Our vision is to see an empowered community that engages diversity, embraces differences, and promotes collaboration and justice.

Your ExtraGive support funds conflict transformation and restorative justice services for those who need it.  What is 'extra' fuels Advoz's partnerships in prevention work with schools and families.

Who We Are

People in conflict, harm has been done. Then they meet and dialogue with a specially-trained facilitator. From it they gain a new view of each other, themselves, and how to move on with their lives. That's what Advoz does. More than 750 youth and adults every year are offered the chance to transform their relationships, their conflict, into healing and resolution with neighbors, spouses, businesses and more. Advoz formed from the merger of two long-serving Lancaster organizations in 2017, Center for Community Peacemaking (LAVORP) and Conflict Resolutions Services (LMC). For each case that goes to dialogue, the vast majority report satisfaction and relief. Each donation you make is building a long-term peace among divided neighbors and families in our community.
