Advoz: Mediation & Restorative Justice

Conflict impacts us all—in our families, workplaces, and communities. But what if conflict could become an opportunity for positive transformation instead of destruction? 

Last year, more than 1,500 people came to Advoz in the midst of a serious conflict - many having experienced traumatic violations and crime. Yet over 80% of those who sat down at an Advoz table left with greater clarity, feeling satisfied and relieved. An additional 1,000 people received training to respond to conflict in effective, proactive ways. 

Advoz provides conflict mediation, restorative practices, and education that transform personal and structural conflicts into constructive actions and resilient relationships. We envision an empowered community that engages diversity, embraces differences, and promotes collaboration and justice.

Who We Are

When harm has been done and people are in conflict, Advoz brings people together with specially trained facilitators. Through guided dialogue, participants gain new perspectives on each other, themselves, and pathways forward. This work has made Advoz a trusted partner for neighbors, spouses, family members, businesses, and beyond. 

Advoz was formed in 2017 from the merger of two trusted Lancaster organizations: Center for Community Peacemaking (LAVORP) and Conflict Resolution Services (LMC). The results speak for themselves, with the vast majority of participants reporting greater understanding and a path forward.
