Ware Center for the Arts

A nonprofit organization

The Ware Center for the Arts is the cornerstone of diverse, inclusive, and accessible cultural arts in our community. Our goal is to provide arts for all, seeking to lift all voices, reflect all cultures, and open all doors through the arts. Our youth programming, accessibility services, and community arts initiatives rely almost exclusively on donations, so your generosity makes an incredible impact, allowing us to continue making the arts accessible to everyone

Your support helps us to provide:

  • Free school-day performances for local children and schools
  • Accessibility services such as ASL interpretation, touch tours, audio description, and sensory-friendly performances that make the arts accessible to the disability community
  • Bilingual and nonverbal performances that make shows accessible to recent immigrants and refugees
  • Arts camps for children and youth of mixed abilities, including scholarships for children with financial barriers
  • State-of-the-art performance and gallery spaces, which are offered free to local artists
  • Affordable Family Fun Fest events featuring nationally and internationally-acclaimed performing artists that include free kids' activities and crafts
  • Free We the People First Friday series events highlighting local marginalized artists
  • Free tickets for underserved communities to make the arts accessible to all

We build deep-rooted community partnerships to ensure our programming reflects the identities, needs, and realities of our citizens. We see the arts as a way of building empathy and understanding among the people we serve—including children from underserved communities, marginalized artists, individuals with disabilities, immigrants and refugees, senior citizens, veterans, families, schools, and community service organizations.

Why do we need your support?

Our programs rely almost exclusively on grants and donations. This Extraordinary Give, we hope you will help us to expand the bridge we’ve built between our community and the arts!
