Hello Neighbor!

For 100 years, United Way of Lancaster County has united the generosity of our community to help neighbors in need and create lasting solutions with trusted partners and community leaders. Together, we’ve met evolving challenges—through wars, recessions, pandemics, and progress.

Today, we continue to mobilize resources to meet emerging needs in an ever-changing landscape. With your continued support, we’re preparing to do the same for the next century.

Meeting urgent needs right now:

  • Volunteer Center: Helping thousands of Lancaster County residents at risk of losing critical SNAP benefits maintain eligibility for this vital, life-sustaining support.
  • Food & Shelter Fund: Providing $150,000 in grants to 13 local nonprofits to replace a loss of funding and ensure vulnerable neighbors have access to food and shelter.
  • Housing & Homelessness Response: Leading efforts to connect individuals facing homelessness with essential resources and pathways to housing through our 211 helpline and a partnership with Lancaster County Homelessness Coalition to bring $1 million toward housing services into our community.

Your partnership makes this possible. With your gift, we can respond to today’s challenges and remain flexible to meet the needs of tomorrow. As we celebrate our centennial year, we invite you to continue this legacy of care and innovation—so every neighbor in Lancaster County has the resources they need to thrive.
