The mission of The Potter’s House ministries is to provide a safe place for men and women to recover from addiction, find healing through Christ centered counseling and discipleship, and be restored to their families and communities, rising out of poverty and homelessness to being productive citizens. Our tag line, “From Captivity to Destiny” comes from Isaiah 61. It is a spiritual perspective to not only see individuals recover from addiction but to also see them become actively involved in God’s rescue plan by living out their life purpose. The Potter’s House Ministry sees itself as a partner with the local community of businesses, organizations and churches, to provide both a clinical and pastoral approach to address this storm that is destroying lives and causing great grief in families. Since addiction cyclically affects one’s body, emotions, and spirituality, we believe neglecting the spiritual needs of the individual can prevent him or her from experiencing real victory as an overcomer. Until the root of the reason individuals turn to addiction is addressed, he or she will likely continue in a lifestyle of addiction and hopelessness. It is our goal to nurture an individual to a place of healing and hope through a 12 step recovery curriculum, regular Bible studies, group therapy, personal counseling, work experience, and financial management etc. Our goal is to help an individual gain a clear understanding of their identity in Christ and through a Christ centered lens establish Biblical based foundations of truth to overcome the lies of the enemy that have kept them trapped. We are committed to walk with them beyond graduation from our program to see them develop as productive contributors in their home, community and the Kingdom of God.
For almost 30 years our mission is to provide a safe place for men and women to recover from addiction, find healing through Christ centered counseling and discipleship and be restored to their families, rising out of poverty and homelessness to be productive citizens. Our tag line, “From Captivity to Destiny” indicates that we desire more than recovery. We partner with local businesses, organizations and churches to provide a clinical and pastoral approach to address this storm that is destroying lives and families. The root issues must be addressed to overcome a lifestyle of addiction and hopelessness. Our program nurtures students to a place of healing and hope through a 12 step recovery curriculum, group therapy, personal counseling, trauma healing, spiritual growth, work experience and financial management. We believe all are special in the eyes of God and teach acceptance and inclusion. We are committed to walk with students beyond graduation to see them develop as contributors in home and community.
