$20,000 Goal

SACA's mission for more than 50 years has been to uplift and restore marginalized communities through human, economic, and social services, while supporting cultural identities. And one of the most significant ways we do this is through our Community Meals Program.

This past year, SACA’s Community Meals program has seen a significant increase in the number of meals provided to our neighbors in need. From July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, we served 29,543 meals. Just one year later, that number has grown to 33,321 meals—a powerful reminder of both the growing need in our community and the vital role SACA plays in meeting it.

As more families face food insecurity, our commitment to serving daily hot meals remains stronger than ever. But we cannot do this alone. Your continued generosity ensures that no neighbor goes hungry and that Community Meals can keep growing to meet the demand.

To meet this ongoing need in our community, it takes your support! Please join us on November 21 by donating to support SACA’s Community Meals Program. Your donation will directly support this important program and increase our ability to meet the needs of our community right here in Lancaster.

Here is just one example of what a community member shared…

“I participate every day in SACA’s community meals. As a single mother of 3 small children, I don’t have enough income to prepare daily meals. This helps me to pay my expensive rent and bills and to keep a roof over my family. I pray that God continues to bless your cooks and the people who give money and donate food. Without SACA many of us would go to sleep with maybe only one meal a day.”

Thank you! Your generosity has a direct impact on our community!

Who We Are

Today the Hispanic community represents a full 40% of the City of Lancaster. This extraordinary statistic reflects a vigorous pattern of growth stretching back to the 1940’s when small groups of Puerto Ricans left their families behind to become migrant workers in Lancaster’s rich agricultural fields. As opportunities opened over the next several decades for better work in manufacturing industries, hotels, restaurants and poultry processing plants, families were reunited and the community quickly grew.

SACA's Community Meals program will serves more than 100 meals to nearly as many individuals in a day. Those walking through the doors of Centro Hispano for a meal are our friends, our neighbors - your friends, your neighbors. All funds raised today through the ExtraGive will go to our Community Meals program.
