They only know that you are their family. But for too many families in Lancaster County, there comes a moment when love alone isn’t enough to cover the cost of food, veterinary care, or an unexpected emergency. 

No one should have to surrender a beloved companion simply because they’ve fallen on hard times.

That’s where Pet Pantry of Lancaster County comes in.

For nearly 15 years, we’ve helped families and their pets stay together, regardless of their circumstances.

We address the challenges that can lead to surrender and shelter overcrowding: rising pet food costs, unaffordable veterinary care, preventable medical emergencies, and unwanted litters.

In 2025, our food assistance program helped 280 families keep their pets fed. Our affordable spay/neuter clinic saved local families more than $1 million in surgery costs. We also provide affordable vaccinations and pet supplies, TNR services for community cats, and rescue and rehoming for animals who have nowhere else to turn.

Every service has the same goal: help animals and pet owners in their time of need.
