National Alliance on Mental Illness, Lancaster County PA

Over 1 in 5 Americans are living with a Mental Illness.

We educate to give families, individuals and educators the support and information they need.

We advocate, providing volunteer leaders with the tools, resources and skills necessary to assist families in crisis.

We listen: our local help line allows us to respond personally to many requests each week, a much needed lifeline for caregivers.

We lead VIA public awareness activities including a monthly support group (“find your people”) and a weekly class (“Family to Family”) for 8-weeks, training those who have a loved one living with a brain disorder. Our desire is to make sure these heroic people understand that they are not alone, it is not their fault and that there is hope!
