At Luthercare, our mission is built on compassion — for the children we nurture, the residents we serve, and the team members who make our communities feel like home every day.

This ExtraGive, we are focusing on a very real need within our own workforce: ensuring that our team members and their families have consistent access to nutritious food and essential items for their children.

The LutherCARES program supports team members experiencing food insecurity or facing challenges in providing basic necessities for their kids. This includes grocery assistance, children’s clothing, and even age-appropriate toys and seasonal items so families can experience moments of joy and stability during difficult times.

Who are we? 

Luthercare was founded in 1949 when a group of devoted Lutheran congregations recognized the need for quality living and care for seniors as they aged. We have continued to grow and to ensure seniors in Lancaster and Lebanon counties have access to an enriching, active, and fulfilling lifestyle. And our commitment to children and families is reflected in our Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Programs.

Strongly rooted in the Lutheran commitment to serve, Luthercare is a not-for-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to serving the youngest and oldest in Lancaster and Lebanon counties and beyond.

Our values of compassion, teamwork, learning, integrity, and connection guide our day-to-day engagement and decision-making as we strive to live out our mission to reflect Christ’s love through service to others.
