Lodge Life Services has been proudly serving the Lancaster community for more than 39 years.  In that time, we have been privileged to work shoulder to shoulder with many skilled and talented employees, volunteers, community leaders, service and business leaders who have afforded the opportunity for LLS to continue to provide a set of valued services here in Lancaster County.

We recognize that sometimes in life, we all could use some assistance to help manage what is overwhelming, solve a persistent problem, or offer a plan through a life transition.  This has been the impetus for the development of services and our intention to add value to each person's life by helping them "piece together " an individualized support plan that fits their needs. The individualized support plan may include entering and participating in one of the many affordable housing programs noted below, or it may be having LLS partner with seniors who need us to understand their wants and needs when it comes time to act as their "Agent and Decision Maker" with the authority of a Power of Attorney for Healthcare or Financial decisions.

Residential Support Services:

Safe, affordable housing is an essential resource for every individual and family living within our community.  Lodge Life Services collaborates with various Affordable Housing Development Corporations who provide and maintain the "bricks and mortar" buildings for individuals and families. Lodge Life Services provides the vitally important Supported Social Services on-site to assist residents with sharpening their basic life skills, such as financial management and budgeting, creative problem-solving, interpersonal communications and negotiating skills, as well as cooking, and shopping skills. Additionally, the LLS Team assists residents in developing a life plan to map out their personal goals and help residents find potential pathways to meet their goals. LLS Staff provides one-on-one assistance and guidance in helping residents find and utilize community resources, as well as group educational opportunities on site.  Several of our residents are gainfully employed, while others are volunteering their time to learn how to serve others again, while others are pursuing educational avenues to better support their personal aspirations. Residents who have recently moved into their own apartment are working on stabilizing themselves with medical and other health care needs, working on the difficult journey from the trauma of being on the streets to feeling safe in their own apartments with their neighbors.

The residents who reside at Lincoln House and Fordney Road Apartments had to qualify as having been homeless prior to moving into the apartment and have an existing mental health diagnosis to be considered for potential residency. Residents work closely with the LLS Team to develop a strategy to eventually move into their own apartment within two years. This strategy includes being gainfully employed and/or have access to disability, veteran, and/or other benefits.

  • Fordney Road Apartments - 14 affordable single room units

(Eligible for individuals with a disability who have experienced homelessness)
