Picture Penn Square on a crisp December night — the 30-foot Christmas tree glowing with thousands of twinkling lights, ornaments sparkling in the evening air, and wreaths with bright red bows adorning every lamppost. That magic doesn’t just appear — LEADS brings it to life, and we need your help to keep Lancaster merry and bright.

This year, the beloved Christmas tree will feature the same beautiful ornaments as last year, paired with 3,000 LED lights to make it dazzle once again. But creating this holiday magic — along with maintaining, storing, and caring for all the city’s decorations — costs nearly $8,000.

And our work doesn’t end when the holidays do! Each spring, LEADS funds the colorful hanging flower baskets that brighten our streets through the warmer months. The City of Lancaster installs and waters nearly 300 baskets, and LEADS covers the cost to make it all possible.
