KINBER is a nonprofit that works to advance digital access and opportunity, creating more opportunities and improving the quality of life for all.
1 in 10 Pennsylvanians does not have internet access. 1 in 3 don't have a laptop or tablet to get online. Many more do not have the skills needed to thrive in a digital world. KINBER is committed to changing this through community-based programs and resources that provide those in need with internet access, computers, and digital skills training needed for employment, education, healthcare, social connection, and information.
Through our programs, KINBER has:
- distributed refurbished laptops to local residents in need,
- offered 1 on 1 digital coaching at libraries in underserved communities,
- provided digital learning classes, and digital devices to seniors and those with low incomes,
- created digital learning labs and laptop loan programs at community partner sites throughout the state, and
- developed a program that trains students to serve as digital navigators for underserved community members.
Help us provide needed tools that provide economic opportunities to your neighbors in need. Together we can empower everyone to thrive in the digital world.
