$15,000 Goal

The Healing Journey was founded to empower cancer patients by giving them support in their journey through a variety of programs at no cost. The Foundation serves an advocate to these individuals within Lancaster County, with the goal to see them thrive, not just survive.  Donations enable the foundation to provide free services which help patients, and their families, cope with the many layers of a cancer diagnosis as well as any and all treatment that may incur.

Why Support Us

The Healing Journey Foundation relies entirely on contributions from individuals and companies who are invested in helping those affected by cancer. Your thoughtful support enables us to maintain, broaden, and enhance our program offerings and services.

Patient Experiences

"What a blessing it is to be able to come in on treatment day without worrying about what to bring to eat or drink. If I'm feeling nauseous, I grab a ginger ale or ginger drop. If I'm hungry due to the steroids, I fill up with protein snacks like cheese and crackers or a protein bar. And when its been a long day and my caregiver is worn out, he can grab a warm cup of coffee or a treat from the cookie bin. Its a great way to help ease the burden during chemotherapy treatment day."

- Linda, multiple myeloma

"I always look forward to the monthly Dishes 2 Nourish. Its a great chance to learn something new about food and its impact on our bodies. Nakita, the dietician and class demonstrator, is wonderful to learn from and is always ready to answer questions about nutrition and foods during chemo. My favorite part is getting to enjoy the prepared dish at the end of class. Always something new to try! "

- Nancy,  breast cancer

No matter where you are in the journey of cancer, we are all on our way towards healing. And if there is one thing I've learned is that healing happens more when you share your experience with someone who understands. I appreciate the opportunity to connect on a monthly basis with people who live this shared experience. To feel known, and seen and understood is so important. And to have my caregiver come to be able to meet with Lindsay's husband, also a counselor, is great because care givers need support and healing too! I look forward to continuing to get to know and learn from Lindsay Webb!"

- Alissa, ovarian cancer

"Having cancer is a life changing event. Not only physically and emotionally, but financially as well. I had to go on disability. My wife had to quit her job to take care of me. And financial demands for treatment and supportive care were high. The stress is high. What a blessing it was to receive a grocery gift card from the healing journey, to help relieve just a little bit of the burden of everyday life."

-Todd, colon cancer

"The Healing Garden has been a place of healing as we continue on after mom passed away. Every week, we meet here for lunch, during the hour that mom had her treatment.  The garden is quiet, serene, and provides the space to be together as a family to connect and honor and celebrate mom on a regular basis."
