Who We Are

We are here for you, as we have been for 49 years.

The Epilepsy Foundation Eastern PA (EFEPA) is leading the fight to end epilepsy and overcome the challenges created by seizures in our 18-county service area. We offer a range of free programs, resources and services to empower and improve the lives of the estimated 110,000 people living with epilepsy in eastern PA. Our mission is to stop seizures and SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy), find a cure and overcome the challenges created by epilepsy through efforts including education, advocacy and research.

It is the EFEPA’s vision to create a seizure safe community where people impacted by epilepsy can experience the understanding, support and care they deserve to live their fullest, happiest and healthiest lives. Our programs range from free community and educational events, such as our regional Conferences, Seizure Recognition & First Aid Trainings, and our monthly support group meetings, to retreat programs such as Camp Achieve, the Young Adult Retreat, and Adult Wellness Weekend. Although these are just a few of our programs, all of them allow families to feel supported in their diagnosis of epilepsy.

Mission

To improve the lives of people affected by Epilepsy through education, advocacy, research, & connection.
