In fact, thus far in 2025, WIN has responded to nearly 4000 messages and calls! WIN has volunteers responding 10-12 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

Without our organization and its dedicated volunteers, so many more animals would suffer and die, often due to illnesses or injuries directly related to unnatural causes (e.g., vehicle strikes, lead poisoning, habitat destruction). The number of wildlife helped can continue to grow with your support. Every single ExtraGive donation gets Wildlife In Need PA an extra share of the Corporate Stretch Pool!!

~Your Donation will help WIN purchase the wide range of nets and other apparatus necessary for the capture of flighted birds, including eagles, owls, geese, ducks, and songbirds.  Basic nets with telescoping handles cost around $25-$75, bownets for the safe capture of larger raptors are ~$350. 

~Your Donation will help WIN purchase more humane traps for the capture of Foxes, Raccoons and Skunks.  Humane Traps cost from $50 to $200 each. Additional funds are also needed to fund cellular trail cams for live monitoring of these traps. 

~Your Donation would support costs associated with the answering service that routes calls to trained dispatchers, and the app that connects dispatchers to available volunteers-the base cost is around $600 a month but often runs nearly $1000 more than that during busy summer months!

~Your Donation would also support Pre-Exposure Rabies Vaccinations for our volunteers. Those vaccinations cost upwards of $1,200 and are rarely covered by insurance.  Only vaccinated volunteers may respond when Foxes, Raccoons, Skunks, Groundhogs and Bats need captured.

~Finally, your Donation will help educate members of the public and attract more volunteers through community outreach and participation in local festivals, conferences and outdoor expos.
