An initiative of Tenfold, SoWe focuses on resident leadership development and quality, affordable housing in the southwest neighborhoods of Lancaster City. We organize neighbors and community partners to build a powerfully connected neighborhood where everyone can thrive.
Rooted in the heart of the historic Cabbage Hill neighborhood in Lancaster, the southwest section of the city has always been a neighborhood of immigrants, offering affordable housing options to first German immigrants in the 1800's, then families from Puerto Rico and other Caribbean islands, and more recently New Americans from around the world.
As housing costs have skyrocketed over the past five years, our work is more important than ever. We are committed to continue the long legacy our neighborhood has in offering an affordable place to live and to create a neighborhood where everyone is connected to the resources they need to thrive.
