The Pennsylvania SPCA Lancaster Center is dedicated to improving the lives of animals and their people throughout the area. The Lancaster Center is the only municipal facility in the county and accepts stray and lost dogs and cats from across the region, working diligently to return them to their rightful homes. We have reunited 55% of stray dogs with their families this year.
The Pennsylvania SPCA operates under a no-kill philosophy, working toward finding homes for all animals entering our care. We are proud to say that our live release rate is 97%.
For 155 years, the Pennsylvania SPCA has been protecting animals from cruelty and neglect. Our Humane Law Enforcement department has long been protecting animals throughout the Lancaster region, rescuing them, rehabilitating them medically and behaviorally, and ultimately placing them in new, loving homes. This year alone, our Humane Law Enforcement officers have conducted over 240 cruelty investigations in Lancaster County, resulting in the removal of over 260 animals.
We are proud to be a member of the Lancaster community and we recognize the importance of helping pets in Lancaster County. We offer a free pet supply pantry to provide a convenient way for families to keep their pets happy, and in their homes.
We hope today, and in the days ahead, you will choose to support the Pennsylvania SPCA Lancaster Center and our tireless efforts to ensure that all animals receive the chance at happy, healthy lives in forever families.
The PSPCA's mission is to protect animals, prevent cruelty and to improve the health and quality of life throughout Pennsylvania.
