$2,500 Goal

The Pennsylvania Dutch Council, Boy Scouts of America was chartered in 1971 and serves Lancaster and Lebanon counties in south central Pennsylvania.  Each year the Pennsylvania Dutch Council works with over 2,800 Adult leaders to bring the Scouting program to more than 5,000 boys and girls in our communities.

The Pennsylvania Dutch Council works with inner city boys and girls to provide the Scouting programs through ScoutReach units. Our Council works with roughly 900 boys and girls each year through ScoutReach. We have raised some of the money needed to provide STEM in a box kits to our program aids and are hoping you will help us meet our goal.  These kits will allow our program aids to literally “pick up and go” to provide STEM programming to our ScoutReach Scouts. The vision for these kits includes paper bag STEM challenges, STEM board games for larger groups, STEM robots, Chemistry STEM, and Nature and STEM.  These activities will help expose our Scouts to STEM as well as work on advancement and recognition programs within the Cub Scout curriculum.

If we exceed our goal, any additional funds will go towards maintaining and improving these kits for years to come so that we can continue to provide a quality program to our boys and girls.

Mission

The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
