The J. P. McCaskey High School Alumni Association

A nonprofit organization

Dear Friends of JPM,

Once again Lancaster’s largest day of online giving is here! So much generosity was shown to the McCaskey Alumni Association last year on this special day, and our robust activity since then has been a testament to that support. In keeping McCaskey’s legacy alive and connecting our alumni in service to the School District of Lancaster (SDOL), we have enjoyed a year like no other.  Your support of our mission through ExtraGive empowers the association in...

    • Serving as a communication hub for gathering and maintaining accurate class contact information to assist alumni with planning periodic reunions and other events.
    • Sharing Association updates about class activities, alumni news and achievements, and inspiring current student success stories through the Alumni Vidette newsletter, published twice per year.
    • Maintaining the School District of Lancaster’s sizeable archive—decades of yearbooks, school newspapers, photographs, audio and video recordings, artifacts, memorabilia and much more—stored and made available for public research at the Alumni Center office.
    • Coordinating and mounting engaging activities and special community projects that bring alumni together in rewarding ways, such as our annual 50th anniversary class celebration at graduation and our annual Distinguished Alumni Awards banquet.
    • Providing assistance to the Lancaster Education Foundation as a conduit for established and new scholarships, as well as on-going programs that directly impact the quality of education for SDoL students and their families.

Thank you for your support!  Together we are "McCaskey Proud."  Go Tornadoes!

    What We Do

Through the support of membership, the McCaskey Alumni Association’s Advisory Board works together to provide the following programs and services:

•Historical Preservation, including archiving newspaper articles, yearbooks, and other memorabilia dating back to the beginnings of the School District of Lancaster.
•Campus Beautification is fostered through the cultivation of alumni gifts, which improve the functionality and appearance of the school.
•Alumni Data/Records are maintained for the purpose of cultivating a robust network of graduates engaged with their Alma Mater.
•Distinguished Alumni are invited back to McCaskey each year to receive recognition and share their wisdom with the student body.
•50th Anniversary Graduation Celebration invites members of McCaskey’s 50th anniversary class to be honored each year at Graduation.
•The Joe Philo Alumni Classic brings former basketball MVPs back to the court for an exciting community event.
•Reunion Assistance, including the printing of mailing labels and distribution of other helpful resources.
•The Alumni Vidette, the bi-annual publication of the McCaskey Alumni Association keeps graduates informed about what’s happening in the lives of former and current McCaskey students.
