What We Do

The Lititz Public Library continues to be a vital part of our community - sparking curiosity, supporting lifelong learning, and creating meaningful connections. In 2024, the Library hosted over 1,000, events, drawing more than 21,000 attendees to experiences ranging from art classes and author visits to wine tasting, gardening, and sound healing.

Families gathered for _ storytimes, enjoyed by more than _ participants, and our seasonal Story Walks brough favorite books to life for our community.

Over 350,000 physical items and 45,000 digital items were checked out last year - proving that Lititz loves to read. Every day, we serve the 32,388 residents of Lititz Borough, Warwick Township, and Elizabeth Township with warmth, creativity, and purpose.

Lititz Public Library ranks among the top libraries nationally, being:

1st in adult and children's checkouts
3rd in electronic checkouts
2nd in program attendance per event
1st in total visits

Mission

The Lititz Public Library's mission statement is to provide materials, services, and programs for educational, recreational, and cultural enrichment to the residents of Lititz Borough, Warwick Township, and Elizabeth Township. The library aims to be a vibrant hub for learning and recreation, offering a wide variety of leisure-reading and educational resources, as well as entertaining and enriching programs. It focuses on building literacy skills, promoting digital literacy, and providing engaging programs that bridge the gap between formal education and lifelong learning. The library also recognizes its role in providing dynamic, engaging programs that enrich the lives of its community members.
