The Lancaster Symphony Orchestra has been the heartbeat of our community's cultural life for 79 years. As Lancaster County's professional symphony orchestra, we believe that live symphonic music isn't a luxury—it's essential to human connection, education, and community vitality.
Serving over 20,000 community members annually through concerts, education programs, and free community events, we are proud to be the place where music meets community.
With your generous support, we present concerts featuring our incredible musicians and world-renowned soloists, design innovative cross-genre programs, explore collaborations with other area non-profits and organizations, and deliver transformative education programs that reach thousands of students each year. To ensure everyone can experience the joy of live music, we offer free community concerts, library passes, and open rehearsals—making orchestral music accessible to all.

Our Impact:
- 24,000+ individuals reached annually through our concerts and Education & Outreach programs.
- Over 2,200 instruments have been provided to students through Gift of Music since 2007, with 200+ free instruments currently on loan to School District of Lancaster students
- 70+ classrooms served by our Stand Partners program since 2020
- Over 700 families have attended a LSO masterworks concert free of charge through our Library Pass program.
- 26,000+ attendees at Open Rehearsals since 2005
- 70,000+ students have experienced free Educational Concerts since 2007 with another 5,000 scheduled to participate this spring.
- Over $33,000 invested in instrument supplies for local school music teachers through Play It Forward.
