Lancaster Farm Sanctuary rescues farmed animals in need and provides them with lifelong, loving care. Each rescue is a second chance: an opportunity to heal, grow, and live freely in safety and peace. We are the only organization of this kind in Lancaster County.

Our mission is to rescue and protect farmed animals, provide them with sanctuary, and inspire humans to live with compassion and respect for all beings. Through education, community outreach, and collaboration with local organizations, we strive to reduce animal suffering and build a kinder, more sustainable world.

At Lancaster Farm Sanctuary, we recognize that the issues of animal exploitation, social injustice, human health, and environmental degradation are deeply connected. By modeling compassionate living and offering opportunities for people to engage—through tours, volunteer days, and community programs—we create meaningful change that uplifts both human and nonhuman members of our shared community.

At Lancaster Farm Sanctuary, every rescue begins with an animal in need; a horse suffering from years of abuse, a piglet left to die on an auction house floor, a hen falling from a transport truck onto the highway. We give them the safety, care, and love they deserve for life.
