The MISSION of Immigreat Lancaster, Inc. is to support Employees with Refugee Status and their employers toward mutual benefit. We exist to recognize Refugee talent in the workplace to facilitate gainful employment, increased sense of purpose, and company productivity.
Our personal relationships with forward-thinking, pro-diversity local company owners allows us to seamlessly connect talented refugees with careers that fit their passion and training. While our mission endeavors to reduce generational poverty, facilitate gainful employment, and increase sense of purpose, it also results in various benefits for Lancaster companies.
Our work reduces significant local workforce shortages, increases diversity in local companies (which research shows benefits the morale and financial growth of companies), and provides a significant boost to the local economy (e.g. greater tax revenue when the refuge workforce is employed at a level commensurate with their education).
Since the Board volunteers their professional time to do 86% of the work, Immigreat Lancaster, Inc. runs with virtually no overhead. GIVING to Immigreat Lancaster, Inc. directly supports Lancaster truly living
in to our “welcoming city” moniker, serving our marginalized, misunderstood
neighbors. We all win when companies have a robust, diverse workforce and
people from all around the world are given the opportunity to work hard and
follow their dreams.
