The Arc Lancaster Lebanon’s purpose is to come alongside a person with a disability and their families to help navigate the complex system of funding and servicesOur reason for being here is to make life more manageable and ensure concerns are heard locally or statewide.

We offer community programs and trainings that affirm the value of diversity and the worth of individuals with disabilities, as well as one-on-one support, training, and resources. We strive to make our Advocacy programs a "one-stop service" so that individuals and/or families do not have to call multiple offices to find the answers to their questions.

1. Advocacy: An Advocate is available year-round to assist individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Autism, and their families. We work with individuals to make sure their voice is heard and their concerns are addressed. We offer support for IEPs and ISPs.

2. The Arc Academy: Self-Advocate Group:  Helping individuals with IDD or Autism learn skills necessary for everyday life, and meeting new people in a classroom-style setting.

3. SibTalk: A fun gathering for kids ages 8-11 and 12-15 who have a sibling with a disability. This time includes peer support, discussions, snacks, games, activities, and opportunities to meet others.

4. Family Support: Helping families with children with disabilities utilize LifeCourse tools, natural supports, and community resources to help their child plan for a full and rewarding life.

5. Diverse Abilities Training (DAT): Presentations for schools to help children in grades K-6 achieve a greater understanding and acceptance of their peers with disabilities, using grade-specific information to show that all people have value.

6. Arc Angel: Organizing and connecting community givers with people with IDD who need holiday gifts in collaboration with Support Coordinator Organizations.

7. Independent Monitoring for Quality (IM4Q): Teams conduct interviews with individuals using state and national standardized surveys to gather information and produce reports that evaluate the quality of Medicaid Waiver services

8. Community Education: Working collaboratively with community partners to offer trainings and webinars on topics of interest to people with disabilities and their support networks.
