American Lung Association

A nonprofit organization

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States but receives far less research funding than any other cancer. Research, education, and advocacy has been proven to save lives! Which is why our LUNG FORCE program plays a pivotal role in funding and supporting lung cancer research, implementing early detection initiatives, and awareness outreach. Our LUNG FORCE also supports those living with lung cancer through virtual emotional and education programs. Locally we care for our lung cancer survivors and their caregivers through our annual lung cancer survivors’ luncheon. This no cost educational workshop and celebration is designed to uplift survivors and their caregivers, build community, and provide vital information for individuals to learn how to not just survive, but thrive. We remain hopeful in our work as more Americans than ever are surviving lung cancer. The survival rate has increased 26% nationally to 28% in the last 5 years. Your support will help us continue the progress in our efforts to defeat lung cancer.
