What is ExtraGive CAST?

Extragive CAST is a digital experience designed to create a safe and socially distant way for you to enjoy the 2020 Extraordinary Give from the comfort of your home!  You can watch the livestream directly from this website.  On Nov 20, simply click the Watch Now button!

What are the details?

Extragive CAST will run from 5pm on November 20 through midnight!  CAST will feature updates from the ExtraGive team across the community, live prize drawings, messages from participating organizations, and community created content.

At 6 pm join artist Keisha Finnie and performer Steven Courtney for Art and Music Family Fun. Have paper and watercolor paints, crayons, or markers on hand so that kids and your family can follow as Keisha shows how to paint an original fun art piece.

7- 8 pm brings a special live edition of WITF Smart Talk with Scott Lamar.

Then, join us from 9pm - 10pm for a special LIVE show hosted by Kim Lemon and WGAL with music, recaps, and more surprises!

How does the community created content work?

The Extraordinary Give has always been a community built event: we wouldn't be the biggest per capita giving day in the nation if it wasn't you, the community, helping to make it all happen. In order for ExtraGive CAST to capture the spirit of the day, we need to make the experience with the community.

We need your help to create the CAST content that will be shown to thousands across the county (and the world)! Deadline extended: We will continue to accept content through ExtraGive day, November 20!

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Video submissions from participating organizations
30-45 second videos about your organization, what it does, who it serves, and why you care about this community! For an optimal result, please  turn your phone HORIZONTALLY when recording!

  • #IGiveEXTRA video submissions and/or photos

Super short videos from you, your staff, your friends, your family holding an #IGiveExtra sign (even hand drawn) that say why YOU give extra (ie, "IGiveExtra so my kids can have a better future").
For an optimal result, please  turn your phone HORIZONTALLY when recording!

  • Music submissions
Are you or someone you know in a band? Be part of the ExtraGive music contest for a chance to be featured as part of CAST! Modeled after NPR's Tiny Desk Contest, submit a video of you/your band performing a song and we will be selecting the best entries to be part of ExtraGive CAST!
