Making sure our neighbors who need food don’t fall through the cracks. 

The St. John’s Food Pantry provides food and toiletries to our neighbors in need. No questions are asked about income and anyone who is hungry is eligible. What began as a small group of volunteers offering bags of food from the church office has grown into a thriving and vital ministry which impacted more than 14,000 individuals in 2025!

Visitors are offered a reusable bag of food (pantry staples that pair together to create meals, like rice and beans or pasta and sauce) and can make selections from tables of fresh food items donated or procured by volunteers. We also provide toiletries, especially those that people aren’t permitted to use SNAP benefits to purchase.

Our Food Pantry is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. to the whole community. We also partner with the Parish Resource Center to provide food bags during their Immigration Clinic offered at St. John’s Church.

Get Involved

Generous donations from St. John’s parishioners, our incredible neighbors (like you!), and other partner churches and organizations makes this ministry possible. In addition to contributing financially, there are other creative ways to partner with us throughout the year. Volunteers from the community are always welcome – you don’t need to be a member of St. John’s to serve. For a special anniversary or birthday, consider a donation to the food pantry in lieu of gifts. We can also accept fresh produce from home gardens and community gardens!

If you only need help with food once in your life, or if you need us every week, we’re here. The St. John’s Food Pantry is a judgement-free zone and we treat each visitor with dignity. Your generous contributions enable us to continue loving our neighbors who are hungry.

The St. John’s Food Pantry partners with the Central PA Food Bank and is SafeServe certified.
