Hope Within Ministries Community Health, Counseling & Dental Center

For those who are financially-eligible and live in Lancaster, Lebanon or Dauphin Counties,  Hope Within Community Health, Counseling & Dental Center offers:

• free primary health care
• free prescriptions 
• donation-only dental care (for those in our primary health-care program)
• low cost mental health counseling is also provided on a sliding fee scale with no eligibility requirements

These services are provided for the entire family by over 80 VOLUNTEERS, licensed professionals (doctors, dentists, nurses, dental hygienists, physician assistants, etc.). Some of them are with us on their days off from their "regular" jobs at private practices or  health care systems in our region. They provide quality care, respecting the dignity of those they serve. Hope Within has earned the GOLD Standard of care rating from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics for 7 years in a row. 

Our Need is GREAT!

From January - June 2026, Hope Within provided 477 medical visits, 1070 medications dispensed, 118 dental appointments, and 472 counseling visits!  We are on schedule to eclipse 2025 statistics. 

We CANNOT continue to provide much-needed services without YOUR support!  The need for our services is growing as individuals and families cannot afford health insurance. 

Some client stories: 

• Cody’s front teeth were broken off causing him severe pain. With no money for dental procedures, he began taking large doses of Acetaminophen which caused his liver to fail and inflict damage to his kidneys; he was very ill and required a four-day hospital stay. Subsequently, he visited several dentists, each one informed him that his front teeth would need to be extracted, which he could not afford. He came to Hope Within Dental Clinic believing that he would have his teeth pulled. Dr. Guk, our talented and compassionate dentist, explained to Cody that she believed she could restore his teeth...and she did just that!! Cody happily said to us, “I am able to smile again!”
• Max had been living on the street. His brother's family brought him to live with them, taking him to Hope Within for medical care and for counseling for mental health issues. Now, several years later, he just finished his MBA and has a great career!

It is with Christ’s love and compassion that we strive to meet the needs of all who seek our services, but right now, our resources are stretched because we are experiencing all-time high requests for our medical, prescription, counseling and dental services from our local residents.
